A syndrome with different phases: Love
Anxiety when you first find love.
Stupidity as you fall into love.
Fear as you worry about losing love.
Depression when love leaves you.
One university professor states that love could reasonably be classified as a psychological affliction.
Have you ever caught this disease?
A staggering amount has been written about love and yet I’d contend that many people have never even experienced love. Lust is almost universally misidentified as love. But lust is only the first two phases. One quality that makes love so valuable is that, like gold, it is rare.
For a good scene with a good quote see Episode two of “Berlin” (another season of “Money Heist”):

The difference between love and lust is clearly seen in 1st Corinthians 13:8 “Love never ends.” Obviously lust does.
"Depression when love leaves you."
Hmmm, in my experience, it's almost always exaltation rather than depression.
I once was caught (innocently) looking at a woman and she challenged me with "In your dreams," to which I replied, "Ha! more like a nightmare," and she hauled off and smacked me before I had time to duck.
Was I depressed at that? In her dreams!
