From what I read, very little impact on birds (although they do recommend using it reasonably). Treating birds nests had virtually no impact on first generation but did have some small impact on second generation. Slightly smaller body mass.
We seem to have fewer birds of some types here this year. Grackles are normally abundant. Hardly see them in bunches. Many others seem to have lower numbers this year. Could be a result of the brutal heat and drought last year.
Perhaps I'm too subtle. One of my points was meant to be the concept that while a single toxin may not have a huge impact on us, the cumulative effect of many toxins could overwhelm the detoxification processes and result in harm.
Yes, climate variations and many other factors may be far more of an impact than a little insecticide.

I do think pesticides have a big impact on life form populations. It seems multiple pesticides being used cause a synergistic effect. It’s hard to know which do the most damage but permethrins are toxic to cats, for example. I don’t trust that we are getting the most accurate information about the extent of damage is caused by pesticides. Additionally, factoring in the stress of excessive heat and drought reduces food sources and can possibly concentrate the pesticides on what food is available.
I apologize for not adding enough information. I most definitely was not trying to criticize your contribution. I appreciate that you are making this information available.
What effect does it have on birds?

That sounds like it had some impact to me.

Yes, little by little (or lot by lot) we are poisoning ourselves (and every other creature).
…that is caused by…
