Unmentionables
Comfort Where it Counts
Are you uncomfortable talking about “unmentionables”?
Early in my life, a few wool clothing items convinced me that wool was uncomfortable (scratchy / itchy). So I pretty much ignored wool for most of my life.
N.Peal’s James Bond cashmere sweaters changed my mind! Those are absolutely delightful to touch. Like petting a cat!
That led me to buy a pair of cashmere joggers. Again, very comfortable!
Also wool / alpaca socks I’ve found to be superior to cotton.
So I decided to give some wool underwear a try. I ordered some “Forvevo” (never heard of them before).
Amazing! Wonderfully comfortable.
Keeping an open mind can be valuable!

I bookmarked a couple of these wool undershorts on Amazon. One type under that brand is sized extremely small, so they would be useless to me. Some of the others might work.
I've been a fan of wool blend socks for over ten years. For most of my life, I used cotton socks for everyday wear, but I had a few instances in Louisiana where I had to walk in very heavy rain. An umbrella kept most of me dry, but my socks became saturated with water. Wet cotton socks are miserable. I started keeping spare socks in my office in case that happened again.
While Wyoming has far fewer instances where one is going to face socks getting very wet, the generally colder temperatures made me feel more sensitive to the problem. I started buying wool blend socks to preserve some insulating power if my socks became wet. I found that they were still perfectly comfortable in warm weather. I buy different blends and occasionally buy socks that are entirely synthetic with no wool. I've come to prefer them strongly over cotton socks.
I see less need to replace cotton underwear, but I may order some of these. I might also consider the bamboo blends.
