What should we expect from the next couple years?
Likely: the Central banks will continue pushing up interest rates all through this year (2023) to create a recession, then in 2024 they will print money and the government will pass it out as "stimulus" money for the election of 2024.
The managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, expects one third of the global economy will be in recession in 2023 and that 2023 will be “tougher than last year”. Who better to predict the future than the people creating the future?
The herd of sheep will continue shuffling along clueless and shocked as things keep getting worse.
Once again, I should state that predicting the future is impossible. Things change, unexpected shifts happen. Still how can we use these highly probable expectations to help us handle the future?
Since the big players (Central banks) are buying up gold at a record pace (which might explain why gold prices continue to rise even though higher interest rates should push down gold prices) it would seem like buying gold would be a safe investment. If everything goes as expected, I’d expect gold to stay fairly stable but rising through 2023 and then rise rapidly in 2024/2025.
Considering Collins English Dictionary “Word of the Year” being “permacrisis”, I think we can expect the tyrants to continue to spawn one crisis after another and impose more and more tyranny. Pay attention to George Orwell’s life. Long before he published “1984” the government was compiling amazing amounts of data on him and keeping an eye on him. Simply for the crime of investigating social conditions and reporting them (writing books). The tyrants do not like the truth to be published. Rebel News is hinting that Justin Trudeau (Canada) might actually accomplish shutting down Rebel News this year.
Be a “prepper” so shortages, power outages and so forth aren’t as much of a problem for you as they may be for your neighbors.
If you have a good, stable job, keep it. Be careful of taking risks on employment.
All these conditions are going to continue to create stress and push the population closer and closer to calling for revolution. The mystery is what form will that revolution be in? Wars are common in this type of situation. Will we have “World War III”? Will the USA split into multiple countries? Will the USA exist in name only as they tyrants rule from a world government? How bad will power outages and food shortages be? Will “supply chain disruption” become the new excuse for just about every problem?
Of particular interest to me will be the battle between censorship and free speech. We are starting to see the mainstream media reporting on issues that have been largely labeled as extremist views or conspiracy theories. Will this trend continue and restore free speech? Or will the corruption and tyrants crack down harder and push more propaganda?
Join me in advocating the concept that censorship is bad (no exceptions) and the concept that replacing one tyrant with another tyrant is not progress. We must resist the lure of more government benefits and insist on smaller government! The more government grows, the worse things are going to get. Cutting taxes is a good thing, but you can only cut taxes if you cut spending.
