Following up on my previous article…
Governments aren’t the only sources of propaganda.
Google (major financial backers of Hilary Clinton) funded “First Draft” one of the first “fact checker” organizations.

Consider who Sharyl Attkisson is. She isn’t a “right wing nut job”. She worked for CBS for many years as an award winning investigative journalist.
If you have the time, and are interested in how we have reached this point, where the media isn’t reporting the news but instead is a major producer of propaganda, watch this interview with Sharyl.
How Propagandists Co-Opted ‘Fact-Checkers’ and the Press to Control the Information Landscape
Sharyl makes an excellent point that virtually all sources of information (such as Wikipedia and dictionaries) have been “co-opted” to push the narrative. She also makes an excellent point, that I’ve touched on before, that we are now living George Orwell’s book “1984” (where the “truth” is rewritten to match the agenda being pushed).

Sharyl points out that some people now make their living just trying to confuse the public. They don’t have to be correct, they don’t have to prove their point, all they need to do is cause enough confusion that people start doubting what they previously believed to be correct.
Epoch Times has struck me as very biased, they seem to have their own agenda they are pushing (extremely anti-China / anti-Communism) but they can be a very interesting counterpoint to the garbage our mainstream media has been shoveling out to us for years. Sharyl on the other hand, I have great respect for her. I’ve found her writing to be very level headed, logical and not pushing an agenda (other than she wants people to think about what they are being told).
My advice is to “consume less” (information) but spend more time checking it and thinking about it. We live in a state of information overload but so much of that information is garbage! Please don’t copy and paste / forward something that you like but haven’t at least made an attempt to verify it. I’m guilty myself of doing this (often I’ll post a cartoon / meme simply to get people to think about the idea being presented), but I also spend a phenomenal amount of time checking my information.
