Fact-Checkers Are Gaslighting You on the Feds’ Vehicle ‘Kill Switch’ Mandate
Our world is becoming more and more regulated and controlled. Combine that with the ease of modern technology to provide surveillance and sharing of data, the result is a situation which is ripe for abuse.
The old excuse to ignore this growing threat: “I’m not doing anything wrong, I have nothing to worry about.” is losing validity.
When your transactions and actions are monitored and stored, we open ourselves up to all kinds of abuse. This might be as subtle as a government worker burying your application, for a permit to do some home remodeling, because that worker doesn’t like some detail of your life record.
It’s said that everyone lies at least three times a day. We can argue that we all break the law constantly (in trivial ways) for example “speeding”. The first article above mentions an interesting one: a federal law that anyone who fails to report a felony can go to prison for up to three years. Are you a lawyer? Would you recognize a felony if it occurred in front of you? Are you sure?
How much are you censoring yourself because you are worried that what you say might be misunderstood?
The time to push back is now, before the problem gets worse.
