Predicting the future is a fools task.
Being the fool, seems like a good diversion for a few moments as I write a bit of what I’m observing. No, I’m not sitting in my basement making stuff up, although I am in my basement. That is where my office is! I’ve spent the past three years pulling myself out of complacency. March 2020 was a very rapid, shocking wake up call. When you are busy living life it’s easy to ignore things that seem beyond your ability to control.
The government lies to us? {laugh} That’s nothing new.
The media pushes propaganda? {laugh} Again, this is expected and normal.
Tyranny is rampant in the USA? Wait, what? Was I really ignoring it that badly?
Lots of extremely competent and qualified people have been predicting a recession for a long time now. Nobody really believed Biden when he said inflation was temporary did they? Surely nobody is that stupid!
Yes, this article is full of sarcasm, hopefully it doesn’t all confuse or offend you.
Why hasn’t a recession appeared? Well, one explanation is that our government has been destroying itself in the process of keeping the citizens happy. That’s nice news for many people in the short run, but if you start looking ten or twenty years into the future it’s actually a rather grim and nasty approach. Governments that self sabotage are doomed to fall (sooner rather than later).

The optimistic side of me wants to believe that if the USA would stop pushing tyranny on the rest of the world and would restore freedom in the USA, that we could bounce back and have a renaissance instead of a collapse (China doesn’t really worry me, the USA is it’s own worst enemy). But it’s not human nature for politicians to do the right thing, so buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride for the next few decades.
Gold is still one of my major recommendations. Long term it’s a great way to preserve your wealth (it’s not an investment!). Every individual could put themselves on a gold standard by using Glint, but it seems very few people comprehend this. Glint is growing at a phenomenal rate (100% per year for the past two years). I wish I was one of the wealthy people of the world so I could actually invest in Glint the company, not just use their services.
Several friends are experimenting with “AI Photography”. The software is amazingly good at producing photo realistic completely imaginary images. There are telltale flaws still, but very soon it’s going to be nearly impossible to tell fake from real (it already takes a trained eye).
