What will this newsletter be about?
A wide variety of topics focused on freedom, health, and life. Some contemplation of a variety of topics and some advice. This should provide the reader with the ability to read the highlights of my research (saving you a staggering amount of time and delivering just nuggets of the most valuable and interesting thoughts and ideas).
Who am I?
To be humble, I’m just another guy.
My background and experience (I’m not “young and dumb” anymore) gives me a perspective which is fairly rare and should be of great value to those who are interested. As a child, I had a good education and was always praised for being brilliant, although I grew up in the shadow of my much more intelligent brother. That situation gave me the motivation to push myself, to work harder, to be successful (I should write an entire paper on the concept of “success”).
My fascination with a very diverse array of subjects has lead to lifelong education and study. My work with dozens of companies, both big and small, in a diversity of roles, from grunt assembly line work to upper management, from Software Development to Functional Medicine has yielded a very rewarding and diverse career full of experience from many viewpoints.
After a career of successfully doing the “impossible” several times. How do you top yourself after you’ve done the “impossible”? Well, find different challenges and do it again! I’m moving into a more relaxed phase of my life with more and more emphasis on helping others.
What are my flaws?
Overconfidence. I can’t count how many times I’ve jumped into something, confident in my own ability. Sometimes I actually fail!
Curiosity – both a feature and a flaw.
What are my biases / core views?
Freedom – this is really my core belief. I’m tired of humans trying to tell each other how they should behave and what they should do.
Small Government – Government should be minimal. Large bureaucracies, in government or corporations, are inefficient and oppressive.
Health – I’ve got too many years of education and experience demonstrating the effectiveness of nutrition and lifestyle and the harm of the industrial medicine system.
Education – The best education is self study. Institutions and public schools are poor educators.
Solid solid overview of “you”. Do write on what success means to you !
Excited to follow you here!
