Politicians love to use "protecting the children" to further whatever agenda they're being paid to push. As any fool can discern, kids these days are no better off for all those efforts. Total control is the agenda.

Do you read Libre Solutions? Along the same lines of your post, he mentioned that in many cases, it’s not just the government who has access either. There are people who work for the government who have abused data for their own personal uses. Kinda like a cop who can spy on an ex because they have access to information a layman doesn’t.

Yes, big business can be just as dangerous as government. It seems everything is tangled so it's it hard to know where "government" begins or ends.

Yes, Libre Solutions is on Substack and it’s written by my friend Gabe who is a brilliant young Canadian currently going through a huge weight transformation (started at 570+ lbs and now below 300). But I met him through the medical freedom space and his knowledge and communication skills in regards to anything technical and building solutions outside of the tyrannical impositions of government is absolutely worth your time. He is not behind a paywall. I’m actually very surprised you haven’t read any of his work. It’s so in tune with some of the tech stuff you have put out.

You are welcome. It was easy to dismiss concerns when legislation was only proposed. But now that it is passing state by state, country by country and actually impacting usage of the Internet.... well... it's real.

Those in power have little motivation to protect our privacy. Of course what is disgusting is passing laws where they insist on decrypting our messages but exempt themselves!
