Success on the first try! In August (this month) scientists were successful in using mRNA technology to deliver OSK expression enhancement in live mice. Only a few years ago, significant anti-aging or age reversal technology seemed to be achieving minor results and remained more or less a dream for the distant future. That’s changed. Research is rapidly advancing now that it’s getting significant (private) funding.
What the heck is “OSK”? OSK are three of the “Yamanaka Factors”.
The Yamanaka Factors:
OCT4 – Octamer-binding factor 4
SOX2 – SRY-box factor 2
KLF4 – Kruppel-like factor 4
cMYC – c-Myelocytoatosis
So what are “Yamanaka Factors”? The Yamanaka factors restore youthful DNA function. In simple terms they make you young again. Theoretically this can regenerate tissues forever.
Monkeys are slated to be tested on this year and in 2026 experiments are planned for humans.
Imagine being eighty years old with an expectation of only living another twenty years, but a scientific breakthrough suddenly changes that to expect another forty years.
Many people are horrified by the idea of genetic manipulation, especially after the disaster of the mRNA experimental shots for Covid. There is a world of difference though between legitimate scientific research versus mandatory toxins forced on people for profit.
This research isn’t being done by “Big Pharma” with profits in mind. It’s being funded by aging wealthy people that personally want to live healthier and longer.
I won’t be the first to volunteer to be a human guinea pig, but learning more about the process of aging, how to slow it, how to reverse it is potentially a huge revolution for humanity.
For medical interventions, one of my first questions is: What are the tradeoffs? Why didn’t nature design us like this? What will be the unexpected side effects?
What happens when we stop dying? Population explosion?
Will this technology truly be “affordable” (and not just for the ultra wealthy)?
Can human creativity truly make a safe and significantly effective improvement over mother nature?
