Global Declaration of Independence – 2024
Introduction
This is a worldwide call for unity, this is not a call for violence. Governments have always had some corruption and imposed some tyranny. Events of the past several years have accelerated this worldwide. Anarchy is not the solution though, we must travel the difficult road of educating our neighbors and not resort to the easy approach of violence.
The past four years have seen a massive and rapid shift of wealth from the common person to the extremely wealthy. There is nothing wrong with obtaining wealth and being wealthy, but when it destroys the lives of typical people and is obtained via tyrannical methods, then it becomes intolerable.
We the people, are fed up with tyranny, we the people choose freedom.
List of Grievances
The following stand out as no longer tolerable:
Mandates
Censorship
Excessive Corruption
Enormous Government
Persecution of Political Opponents
Financial Manipulation

Global Declaration of Independence – 2024
We, the people of the world, declare independence of tyranny. When the United States of America declared independence from Great Britain and formed a new government, many concepts were debated, at the core of this is that government serves the people. Citizens do not serve the government. A key aspect of this is that government should remain as small as possible.
Fundamental rights are reserved to each individual, they are inalienable (may not be transferred or taken away):
Freedom
Life
Liberty
Pursuit of Happiness
Free Speech
Right to Bear Arms
Bodily Integrity
Equality of Opportunity
All governments henceforth, must serve to protect these rights. This is the primary purpose of government. No mandates shall be imposed which infringe upon these rights.
The secondary purpose of government is to facilitate large projects that would be difficult or impossible to accomplish by a smaller entity.
A government must be responsible, it must set an example for the citizens of that nation. No government should ever spend more money than it has. Raising the money for any project comes before embarking on the project. Deficit spending should never be permitted, government must plan ahead.
One of the primary criticisms of the Constitution of the United States is that when it was drafted, the founding fathers could not have imagined the future and that it has become obsolete. That is not true, the purpose of Amendments is to adjust the constitution as new concepts and challenges arise.
Definitions
So that this document may survive the passage of time, it is essential that we make clear the definitions of what is meant by the rights of individuals.
Freedom – This is the right to conduct our lives in any manner we see fit, as long as it doesn’t infringe on the rights of another human.
Life – Citizens have the right to life, no person or entity shall be permitted to take the life of another citizen.
Liberty – This is an elaboration on freedom to make it clear that government shall not restrict freedom.
Pursuit of Happiness – There is no guarantee of happiness. Each individual however has the right to pursue their life in whatever manner brings them joy.
Free Speech – Censorship is intolerable. Opposing viewpoints must be able to be freely expressed without fear of retribution. People must have free and open access to communication in order to counter any propaganda which might be issued from the government or other entity.
Right to Bear Arms – The right to obtain and possess weapons (and ammunition) is essential as a counter to the powerful being able to oppress the weak. Weaponry is essential to permit the weak to defend themselves. This is for both personal defense and defense against government tyranny. No restrictions shall be added on top of this to construe that some weapons are okay, while others are not.
Bodily Integrity – No entity may injure or alter the body of a citizen, no matter how good the intentions are.
Equality of Opportunity – Humans are unique, we are not equal, we each have our strengths and weaknesses. No government however shall pass any legislation that is specific to any race, gender, religious beliefs or any other differentiating factor to either hinder or help any group. Sins of the past, must remain in the past, history must not be forgotten, but perpetuating conflict is intolerable.
Commentary
As a founding document for the future, this is kept short and simple to maintain readability. It should not require any complex interpretation by a lawyer or anyone beyond the common citizen.
One of the great flaws of attempts at democracy is the idea that the majority should rule. This creates a state of tyranny where the majority oppresses the minority. Going forward we must learn from this mistake such that laws are not so easily passed. Bodies of government (like the USA Congress and Senate) must require that a super majority (at least 75%) approval must exist in order to pass a new law.
In our cry for representation and fairness, the concept of pure democracy is promoted. This is a mistake. None of us have the time or expertise to be well educated and able to make good decisions on all issues. Thus we advocate restoring the original intent of the United States of America’s Constitution, whereupon a government is formed by representatives, elected democratically, to form multiple branches of government to serve as checks and balances against each other. This includes state governments and the federal government being checks against each other. Other more local government entities will refine this further and provide the necessary customization to suit their locality. None of these governments, at any level, however may infringe on the inalienable rights of individuals.
Serving as a representative is a sacrifice and an honor, not a career! No politician shall serve more than a single term in a specific role.
The USA government has become over burdened with so many laws that no human could possibly read them all and understand them. It is the duty of the government to keep the body of law simple and concise. It is the duty of the judicial system to interpret the laws if any law should be considered to have insufficient clarity.
No mention of religion, gender or race is made in this document because those concepts have nothing to do with government. It is not the job of government to legislate equality. It should be obvious that all humans are equal in regard to their fundamental rights.
Common sense tells us that changes take time, making changes too rapidly can be catastrophically disastrous. An example would be the USA Social Security system. This may very well be a terrible solution to provide a humane world in which we take care of our elders, but we can’t just trash it instantly without carefully evaluating and implementing an alternative. Another example would be cutting military spending. The nation with the largest military and military spending (the USA) must make a cut, this allows other nations (like China) to follow by making a cut themselves, as all nations follow this example in cycles we can make the world a far safer place and spend far less money on military forces.
Call to Action
We call upon all elected officials, all judges, all sheriffs and upon every citizen to act in the best interests of this declaration. In the case of the United States, and every other government on Earth, a great labor is thrust upon us to reduce the size of government, to abolish excessive, and especially obsolete, laws, to banish special interest laws and legislation. Employees of the government must be sent back to the private sector to engage in productive careers to benefit society instead of promoting bureaucracy.
Prosperity will come from the efficiency gained by a world not hampered by excessive legalities, which have traditionally been exploited by the rich and powerful. Satisfaction and happiness in life will come from a lack of fear that some aspect of government, obscure or obvious, might be employed against us to restrict the freedom of we the people.
We must abandon fiat currencies and return to a currency which is backed by something of physical value. Inflation is the enemy of the people, creating money from nothing cannot be continued into the future.
We must restore our elected officials to the position of being representatives of the people, not a rich and powerful class catering to the desires of special interests.
Every single tax deduction and credit must be eliminated. A simple tax code is a fair and effective tax code.
This document can not provide all the solutions, that will require a lot of work and many documents. This document can however form the basis of stating clearly the world of the future which, we the people, desire.
